The building is located in downtown Coimbra, within a dense urban layout characteristic of historic areas. As this is a complete renovation of the building, its footprint remains unchanged. The primary purpose of the intervention is to restore and improve the building’s habitability, which is currently lacking. Consisting mainly of shared walls with adjacent buildings, the exceptions are the main façade facing the public street and a small section of the side façade facing a lobby that allows natural light to enter the rear rooms.
