The project aims to implement an infrastructure suitable for a BRT (Bus Rapid Transit) solution on the Hospital Line section, extending between Av. Aeminium and the Pediatric Hospital in Coimbra, over a length of approximately 3555 m, through the creation of a Metrobus lane approximately 7.0 m wide. The start of the route is located on the Coimbra B / Portagem section, near the Aeminium / Citizen’s Shop stop, and the final intervention point is located near the main entrance of the Pediatric Hospital.

The project also includes the remodeling and separation of the domestic and rainwater drainage networks along the Metrobus lane, with occasional remodeling of the water distribution network as well.
