The Jerónimos Monastery in Lisbon is undergoing a €3.7 million conservation and restoration project, funded by the Recovery and Resilience Plan (PRR).
The intervention, scheduled for completion in the first quarter of 2026, aims to preserve and enhance this iconic monument of Manueline architecture, classified as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. The works include the rehabilitation of the structure and decorative elements, ensuring its integrity and safeguarding it for future generations.
These interventions differ from those carried out with the support of the World Monuments Fund Portugal, which took place between 1994 and 2002 and subsequently between 2014 and 2019.
