The Rua do Encontro and Others – 2 Redevelopment Project, part of the Rua Direita Program, arose from the need to improve service and conditions of use of public spaces on streets with a reduced cross-sectional profile in the city of Porto, taking into account the various modes of mobility.

The streets targeted for redevelopment under this project were primarily Rua do Encontro and Travessa do Campo Lindo, with some more specific interventions also taking place in Largo do Campo Lindo and Travessa do Covelo.
