It was in a context of cultural and tourist development that the decision was made to renovate a building located in a historic area, near Praça 8 de Maio, due to its deterioration and the lack of establishments of this type in the surrounding area.

The aim was to create an attractive and appealing restaurant for tourists and the local public. The guiding principle was to create a space dedicated to traditional Portuguese cuisine and a unique cultural offering, taking advantage of the fact that Coimbra is a World Heritage Site, enhancing the urban setting and the building itself.
