Located on Rua Marquês de Olhão, the new Health Unit has increased the existing services offered in terms of health promotion, disease prevention, and the provision of specialized services tailored to the needs of the population of the Beato parish.

With a privileged location on the edge of the Madredeus neighborhood, the new Health Unit has several wide pedestrian access points and connections to the school complex and the Carris bus terminals. The occupation of the rectangular plot, approximately 1122m2, transformed the memory of the place and replaced the horizontality of the sandstone and its different layers, rising as a pragmatic construction. Organizing the idea of ​​a unified and solid public building, a single cladding of exposed gray brick was used, whose pleasant texture humanizes the surfaces.

With capacity for 15,000 users, the Health Unit is composed of a Shared Healthcare Resources Unit (URAP): a multi-professional unit that offers consultations in Nutrition, Psychology, Oral Health and Speech Therapy, among others, and a Community Care Unit (UCC): providing health care and psychological and social support at home and in the community, health education, among others.
