The value of outdoor life and contact with nature, direct and universal accessibility to well-sized green spaces, the importance of green spaces for the physical and psychological balance of citizens, are now more than ever basic requirements of communities. The current situation of uncertainty resulting from the pandemic only guarantees that spaces for entertainment, gatherings and social contact must already take into account the constraints that arise from this. What’s even more striking today is the growing demand from markedly urban populations (especially in densified coastal areas) for these low-density territories as the antithesis of the backdrop to their lives. The intention is to put into practice the creation of a regional reference centre, based on the requalification of the landscape and the promotion of healthy outdoor living.
