The new Oiã Family Health Unit will be located in Tuna Oianense, in the parish of Oiã, in the municipality of Oliveira do Bairro, and will have a gross construction area of 875m². The new structure will be built from scratch in the centre of the town, next to the building that houses the parish council and the Oiã Auditorium, in an area that benefits from a leisure park and a pedestrian link to Praça do Cruzeiro, which is due to open soon. The future health unit, whose project followed a functional programme defined and validated by the Regional Health Administration of the Centre, will have seven doctors’ offices, seven nurses’ offices, a specific room for accompanied bathing, for the treatment of diabetic patients, a meeting room/library for the coordination and training of the technical team and a pantry, among other necessary spaces.
