The building is located in Coimbra’s historic city centre and in an area classified as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The project takes advantage of the intertwined relationships between buildings to emphasise the way of life that is believed to be in the area. The close relationships that are established between the buildings also take place between the residents. Fostering this form of relationship between people also seems to be part of the rehabilitation process.
